The Bx3 Tour Discussions of the Bx3 tour
|
Note: The tour is over, the guys had a BLAST playing for all of you. However, we haven't had a post since March but meanwhile I've had tons of spammers try to pollute over here. So I've disabled posting to the forums. If they tour again, you can be sure we'll open the forums back up. In the mean time, for some great bass discussion you can head over to http://www.talkbass.com. - Thanks!

Now that I'm warm and have been at work for the last 3 hours I've had time to reflect on the BLESSING that was given to Poplar Grove & Chubby Rain last night.
The comments from the bass players about the drummer were so dead on. You are amazing man. The ability to switch between true Jazz and Billy's LIVE SPEED ON ICE (very fitting for last night) was an astonishment to hear, and NO BREAK for nearly 3 hours. WOW you must sleep well at night.
Guitar ax man is another treat to the ears. I wish my former Metal Head guitar player could have heard you flow between clean jazz chords and rhythms and then NAIL "Shy Boy". Rarely have I met guitar players that can do both rhythm and lead with such style and abililty.
Finally, there isn't much to say about the Bx3 boys that hasn't been said, but the slight "tease" of School Days was worth the price of admission. I listened to I Wanna Play For You Live on the way to the show, and just hearing that tease made my night.
Thanks Mark and Chubby's for brining these folks to the area, Rockford would never do it, because there is no Hockey or Truck and Tractors or Wrestling involved in the show. But, if Bx3 could combine those 3 desired mid-west loves, you would be as huge as you are in Japan.
Thanks again for a great show!!!!!!! |
