Note: The tour is over, the guys had a BLAST playing for all of you. However, we haven't had a post since March but meanwhile I've had tons of spammers try to pollute over here. So I've disabled posting to the forums. If they tour again, you can be sure we'll open the forums back up. In the mean time, for some great bass discussion you can head over to http://www.talkbass.com. - Thanks!

I wasn't at this show but a good friend was so I thought since there wasn't any review I'd copy and paste the overview he posted on another forum (paraphrasing somewhat):

"We got to the venue here early and before a lot of people had filed in I
spoke with the guy at the merch table (who was wearing a FK Paradox Hotel tshirt - turns out he's their tour manager) and he told me they had
pre-sales of around 150 tickets to the show. And contrary to what the lady on the phone told me...they were selling tickets at the door. Well, not tickets actually - just admission. In fact when we got there the guy at the door just asked for the person's name who bought our 4 tickets and he let us in. I hate shows where they don't at least give you a ticket stub to keep.

In total, I say about 200 people showed up - not bad for an un-advertised
show. It was a very eclectic crowd too - the kind of people you expect to
see at an event in the Broadmoor - well dress people, quite a few older
people. We bought one round of 12oz. Breckenridge Avalanche beers for $6.25 each and nursed them through the show.

Anyway, the show was great. It was exactly like Steve described the Denver show as far as the sets and the time length. I like Jeff Berlin's set the best. I bought his latest CD. After the show when I was getting Jeff to sign my CD he remarked that this show was quite the contrast to last night's show. They were very happy to be staying at the Broadmoor too. During Jeff Berlin's set he joked about not be able to find the potato chip vending machine in the lobby - "what kind of hotel is this?". And since the audience was seated at banquet tables, Stu Hamm joked about the dinner choices noting that the "Chicken Cordon Blue was quite good".

For any of you going to the show in Fort Collins tonight, you won't be
disappointed. Enjoy your $3 beers and if you want to by any merch, bring
cash cause they don't take American Express (or any other plastic)."

I'm a little behind on my posting but I saw the show last
Saturday and it kicked ass! Cool Cool Cool

First of all, we got to the venue early, so we walked in and
caught a bit of the soundcheck, very cool.

For show-time, I was surprised to find it general seating,
which of course we got in early and picked a front row table.
Yup, a white linen covered table with candles. Now I'm sure
not all the venues will be like this, but what a classy show
this was. The 3 started off with the National Anthem, too cool.

I've never seen Jeff Berlin, but he is a killer jazz bassist and although
I don't know the names of songs, he did play quite an
amazing rendition of "Tears in Heaven". WOW!

Stu was next and even tho I was looking forward to hearing
him play his Peanuts jam, he didn't, but he is still incredible.
I've seen him several times, but I've never heard him play
the Beatles and Moonlight Sonata, he bounced
back and forth between the two songs and it was definately
the hi-light for him. I can't remember which Beatles song, sorry.

Finally, Billy is up and getting the crowd going. He's always
fun to watch, my fave song he did that night was Jeff Beck's,
Ledboots. Sweet!

They all came out and jammed together, doing the ole switch-a-roo
bass and had everyone in awe. Standing ovations.

They invited the crowd to stay for meet n greets after the show
and were very generous with their time. Very easy to
chat with. I had asked Stu about the Denver show, because
apparently, the turn out was like 60 people.
He mentioned their skepticism in coming to a smaller city, (here
in Colo Springs) and playing at a hotel resort, but our turn out
was about 250 people (I asked the person doing tix at the end
of the show) and they were happily surprised!

What an awesome show and what a great bunch
of guys. You definately need to see this one!

Sorry, my pix bite. Sad
I NEED a new camera. I had to photoshop these to lighten them
up, and this was the best I could come up with.

Billy signs my Talas album! YAY! Smile
