Note: The tour is over, the guys had a BLAST playing for all of you. However, we haven't had a post since March but meanwhile I've had tons of spammers try to pollute over here. So I've disabled posting to the forums. If they tour again, you can be sure we'll open the forums back up. In the mean time, for some great bass discussion you can head over to http://www.talkbass.com. - Thanks!

Fantastic show by all players! I personally enjoyed Jeff Berlin the most but each one had shining moments. Billy Shehan's version of the King's X tune (Goldylocks?) was awesome.

I do have to say to the roadie selling merchandise. Mellow out. Jeff Berlin sat down at the merch booth after his set. I went to pick up his CD and wanted to ask him which had the material he had just performed. Like a scene out of the movie "Rockstar" the roadie guy (who ironically looked a little like the roadie from "Rockstar") jump in to instruct me that autographs with the artist would only be available after the show and not to try to talk to Jeff. Huh??? I saw a bunch of other people go over, apparently to say hi, shake his hand, or whatever and all were turned away. I can't speak for the others but I hadn't been drinking and posed no "security threat" so I don't know what the deal was. It was kind of a bizaare cliche 80's rock flash-back.

Anyway... Jeff's CD is awesome like his performance. I would have told him that but (see above). Ha Ha Smile

Don't miss this show! It's rare that you get to see musicians of this caliber this close up and personal.

Hell yeah...Goldilox literally made me weep. It reminds me of my son (RIP). Thank you, Billy Sheehan...thank you. Beautiful tune played really well.

All those guys are consumate professionals who aren't afraid to take chances...if anyone has ever had a "perfect" show, more power to them but they are most likely few and far between. It's really great to see guys who are all legends on the bass having a great time and joking with each other and the crowd.

Jude (guitar) and John (drums) were rock solid and managed to steal parts of the show with their own flair on their intruments. After reading their credentials and hearing them play, one can see why they were chosen for the tour!

The venue (Lava Lounge) is a great place to see shows and Tom (soundguy) did a great job, it can't be easy to mix all that bass - even though they all had their own distinct and awesome tones. It was the first time I had seen Jeff Berlin in person and he blew me away - he is so fluent in the language of music, makes me want to go to his Players School of Music this fall. Stu is so smooth but yet his sound is really raw and doesn't sound robotic. I had seen him before playing with Satriani and he does the sideman gig just as well as he does solo.

Billy...what can I say about him that hasn't already been said. What a blast to watch - he always has so much energy and truly seems to enjoy himself on stage. One of those people who was born to entertain! Been following him since I first heard Talas, if you haven't heard any of their stuff do yourself a favor and check it out. He was doing so much cool stuff on the bass back in the late 70s/early 80s and the cool thing is that his basic style hasn't changed much but he manages to keep it fresh.

Can't comment on the merch guy...he was cool before the show started and mentioned that they are all traveling in a 15 person van, pulling a U-Haul trailer. That's enough to make anyone crabby at some point...especially in our crappy weather.

Please go out and support these guys, you won't be sorry!!
